Listening Sessions
Nevada County Arts Council has recently been named one of thirteen agencies statewide responsible for administering $60m as part of a new grant program called California Creative Corps. This is an economic and workforce recovery pilot program intended to fuel positivity, regain public trust, and inspire health and safety across California’s diverse populations. We will be providing grants to local and regional organizations and employ artists to create public awareness messages in support of issues critical to society. In building our program we wanted to be sure we heard from our home base - and our Listening Sessions in Nevada County were held at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, and at Truckee Artist Lofts in Truckee during November, 2022.
